What if you could choose to have just one midwife to support you through your pregnancy journey? Would you?
You’d see the same person at every ante-natal appointment with the option to have those appointments scheduled during the evening or weekends; choose for them to be at a dedicated pregnancy advice centre or even in the comfort of your own home rather than the GP’s surgery or a clinic?
Sounds idyllic doesn’t it? And expensive?
This was our expectation when we met with Laura and Melanie from One to One recently! But as it turns out, this is just a part of the service One to One midwives offer…and it’s free! Read More

In those first few days at home with your brand new baby, everything changes and revolves around this new little life.
When they go down for a nap, it is easy to feel like you need to turn off the TV and tiptoe round, talking in hushed voices for fear of waking them. In fact, the opposite is true – background noise helps them to sleep!

Whether you love the traditional or prefer something a bit more unique, choosing a name for your beautiful tiny baby merits some thought and a little research – in the hope that as they grow up, they will love their name as much as you do!
So how do you go about choosing a name?

…But before we raise our glass to the brand new year, we just wanted to pause… just for a moment and reflect… and say a heartfelt ‘THANK YOU’ to our wonderful clients. Your support over the last year has been amazing, and we wanted to thank each and every one of you for trusting us with your precious little ones, for welcoming us into your homes and allowing us the privilege of capturing memories of your newborn baby during their first few days as brand new little people! Our last little newborn before Christmas! Gorgeous Freya’s photoshoot took place in her beautiful nursery at her home. All newly decorated in pastel pinks with sweet butterflies and a sprinkling of pixiedust to welcome this much longed for and very loved little baby girl. As she was so happy and relaxed in this warm cosy room, Freya slept sweetly through most of her newborn photo session, waking occasionally to watch what was going on and would then reward us with some amazing expressions and beautiful newborn smiles! Her gallery is simply stunning and we are pleased to share a few of our favourite photographs here. ♥ Read More

We had such a lovely time doing Christmas mini sessions recently. They certainly got us into the festive spirit early as we were out and about searching for the perfect accessories for this year’s rustic theme back in October! Collecting pine cones with our own little ones and decorating them to resemble snow ready for the shoot was also great fun. We met some lovely babies over two full days of mini sessions, and were so pleased to welcome back some of our tiny newborn clients, growing up fast, and looking forward to their first Christmas! Gorgeous newborn baby Samuel’s big brother Joseph was so excited for this photoshoot! Four year old Joseph drew us a beautiful picture of his family while we were setting up for the photoshoot in his home on The Wirral. And little Samuel was such a happy and relaxed baby boy, he loved being wrapped and swaddled, and drifted off into a sweet sleep for much of his session. Joseph couldn’t wait to join in having his photo taken with his new baby brother and was an absolute star! He very carefully and safely cuddled Samuel for their sibling pictures and then showered him with kisses and made us laugh during the family photographs. This tiny baby boy has such a stunning gallery of photographs for his family to treasure and remember his fleeting newborn days! ♥ Read More

Oh my word…what a lovely sleepy little lady Ayla was 🙂 On a cold frosty morning, we were all snuggled up by the fire for gorgeous Ayla’s newborn session at her home near Chester. She loved being warm and cosy, so much so, she had made a very late and slightly dramatic appearance into the world, keeping her Mum and Dad waiting and waiting for beautiful baby cuddles! But now she is here and making up for her late arrival by being the most contented and relaxed little baby! Even her demands for milk were ever so quiet and polite, and she was so obliging when posing for her beautiful newborn gallery. ♥ Read More

This gorgeous baby girl’s name means ‘beloved child’. It originates in Japan where her Mum and Dad went on their honeymoon, and it is such a fitting and beautiful name for this little newborn. A tiny 6lb 5oz when she was born, Aiko has a huge personality already and was wide awake and so interested in our camera! She made us work hard to achieve some classic sleepy baby photographs, but it was oh so worth it, as she rewarded us with this stunning gallery, and some beautiful smiles! ♥ Read More

‘This little man has been here before’ stated Archie’s grandmother when we were introduced to her first grandchild. ‘He has such a knowing look in his eyes’ And she was right, this tiny adorable baby has the wisest look in his eyes! Archie’s newborn photography session at his home on The Wirral was short and sweet; He was oh so sleepy and chilled, that we were able to photograph his whole gallery without stopping for a feed! Oh my, she’s so beautiful! Tiny Emily was just a fraction over 7lbs when she was born, and bang on her due date – which really doesn’t happen that often! Sleepy and snuggly in some natural poses for her newborn photoshoot, she was relaxed and comfortable at her home on The Wirral. We enjoyed some lovely cuddles during her session, and her gallery is simply stunning. She was a natural little model and rocked her session in style. ♥ Read More

Gorgeous baby boy Nikhil surprised his Mum and Dad by making an early arrival into the world… So early in fact, that we were taking his newborn photographs a week before his due date! Tiny and sleepy for much of his session at his home on The Wirral, he just loved curling his little fingers around ours and would hold on so tightly while we were posing him for his photographs. Such a little dink, he was simply adorable, and we loved every single minute we spent with him. ♥
