Today, we are handing our blog over to Debbie from Misfit Mama’s… Hi there! And welcome to today’s blog post all about the “C” word… I personally avoided reading anything about Caesarean sections when pregnant with my first child 6 years ago, as I was convinced I would have a natural birth! (lucky for me that I did) but if I hadn’t, I’d have been clueless as to what was involved. (Perhaps that was my plan!) Importantly this information is really useful for your recovery, which is where I’m coming from here today…
This gorgeous baby girl’s name means ‘beloved child’. It originates in Japan where her Mum and Dad went on their honeymoon, and it is such a fitting and beautiful name for this little newborn. A tiny 6lb 5oz when she was born, Aiko has a huge personality already and was wide awake and so interested in our camera! She made us work hard to achieve some classic sleepy baby photographs, but it was oh so worth it, as she rewarded us with this stunning gallery, and some beautiful smiles! ♥
Oh my days! Just look at her hair, so so beautiful. Just 15 days new for her newborn session at home in Liverpool, Leila was incredibly sleepy and relaxed, blissfully unaware of the driving rain that chose to sweep up the Mersey estuary on a typically British summer’s day. Snug and warm, Leila rocked her session in style, enjoying plenty of cuddles along the way. Some more gorgeous newborn photos from her session are showcased below. ♥
Teeny tiny Annie was just 15 days new when we met her and her family for her newborn session. Annie’s gorgeous big brother Charlie was a little star during her newborn photo session. Because we were at the family home, he was engrossed playing with his toy cars for much of the shoot but was happy to join in and give his little sister lots of kisses and cuddles for us to capture some beautiful sibling photographs.
Beautiful Sophie was just 9 days new when we arrived for her sleepy newborn photography session at her home on The Wirral. Sophie’s Mum had completed 2 terms during pregnancy with The Daisy Foundation, which had helped give her confidence with her choice of a planned home birth with the help of One-to-One Midwives. Sophie was such a happy and contented little baby, though she made us work hard to achieve these gorgeous sleepy shots! Wide awake but happy and relaxed for much of her session, she was fascinated by the camera lens, so we were also rewarded with some…
Meet little Joshua! We first met him at his ‘newborn’ session when he was 27 days new… very slightly older than our usual tiny clients… He was so well behaved for his photoshoot, and just loved being posed on his tummy, he was so comfortable and settled we had plenty of time to achieve some stunning images of this amazing little miracle baby. Because Joshua’s story is so much more than his beautiful photo’s suggest.
…and mentoring our future. So last weekend was the final day of the Poppies display at St Georges Hall in Liverpool. And my 9yo daughter had just been given a SLR digital camera for her birthday, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for her to learn about her new ‘toy’. She was already well aware of the significance of Remembrance Day, but this the first time she had seen the visiting ‘weeping window’ display during it’s time in Liverpool. On a bitterly cold raw January day, she spent a long time studying the poppies, and taking photographs to capture the…
As our little business has grown and evolved in a way we neither expected or anticipated, we felt with Christmas coming up, it was a good time to treat ourselves to a shiny new website. One that better reflected both us (our personalities) and our brand, one which could showcase our work better to you, our lovely customers, and provide a much more interactive experience. And most importantly give our blog a much needed revamp, after all, this is where we showcase YOUR story, and YOUR images:)
Double trouble? Or double sweetness! We had an amazing day with this pair of beautiful girls, getting double our usual baby cuddles. Aoife and Leia were both so sweet, and so totally identical that we really struggled to tell them apart. We were lucky to get some sleepy shots of them both together, as they had an uncanny ability to work together in tandem, taking turns to sleep and making sure they kept Mum and Dad on their toes:)
We couldn’t wait to meet Abby! We had already met her family during Mum’s maternity session several weeks earlier. It’s always a little bit extra special when we go back for the newborn session and meet the baby that just a few weeks previously we were calling Bump:)
