With Christmas right around the corner, we wanted to share a few of our favourite festive photos from this year’s Christmas Minis! Thank you so much to all the families who booked, we loved seeing all the little ones in their beautiful seasonal outfits, and had so much fun getting into the Christmas spirit early in our home studio for your photoshoots. We’d also like to take this opportunity to wish all our lovely clients, past, present and future, a wonderful Happy Christmas with your families tomorrow! With love and best wishes… Jo & Jacqui xxxx

We loved meeting this little bundle, Jacob was a teeny tiny 5lb 6oz when he was born. He was a very determined little man, and at 4 weeks old, already knew exactly what he wanted – cuddles! He was just so cute, and really didn’t want us to put him down for his photos, he made us work very hard for those sleepy shots. But he gave in eventually, snuggling into some comfortable photos for us to capture this stunning newborn gallery for his Mum and dad. xx
After months of anticipation and excitement, your new little one has finally arrived! You have survived through those first few whirlwind weeks of very little sleep, maybe Dad’s paternity leave is over and you’re just starting to feel ready to venture out and develop a new ‘baby’ social life. So which groups are best for you and your new baby? Here’s a selection of some of our favourite baby groups on The Wirral for new Mums (and Dads) and your new baby.
Today, we are handing our blog over to Debbie from Misfit Mama’s… Hi there! And welcome to today’s blog post all about the “C” word… I personally avoided reading anything about Caesarean sections when pregnant with my first child 6 years ago, as I was convinced I would have a natural birth! (lucky for me that I did) but if I hadn’t, I’d have been clueless as to what was involved. (Perhaps that was my plan!) Importantly this information is really useful for your recovery, which is where I’m coming from here today…
We meet many new mums and mums-to-be during the course of our work, and we quite often have very similar conversations with our clients about what’s available in our local area for them and their new baby. Whether it’s questions about pregnancy fitness classes, where they can find someone who can teach them baby massage, or even simply a place they can go that is baby-friendly to just get out of the house for a short time and grab a coffee.
Meet the winner of our recent maternity photoshoot competition! This is Karen, she was the lucky mum-to-be who won a maternity memory session with us, together with one of our signature ‘Baby I Love You’ frames for her favourite image from her session. Run in conjunction with One to One Midwives, West Cheshire, her shoot took place in July at their Pregnancy Advice Centre in Ellesmere Port.
Many of our clients choose to buy digital copies of some (or all) of the photos in their gallery. And of course we love to be able to offer this option, after all, we try to provide albums, artwork and collections that incorporate those products our clients love best… and in todays modern and social media based society, digital albums are proving to be one of the most popular products we offer! And it’s easy to understand why… an image uploaded to your Facebook or Instagram feed is instantly available to family and friends the world over, and when that…
This beautiful baby girl was smiling for us the minute she arrived for her ‘Little Sitter’ milestone session… before we even had our camera out! Liliana was the perfect little model too, having such fun in our home studio, she didn’t realise she was having her photo taken at all, resulting in some beautiful natural shots that capture her happy and bubbly personality perfectly. Her gallery is simply stunning, we struggled to find our favourites to share! ♥
This dinky little baba was a sleepy superstar. Over three weeks early when he was born, Callum was as cute as a button and quiet as a mouse. His newborn photography session at his home on Wirral flowed seamlessly through our dreamy poses, when we moved him, he barely woke before snuggling into the next blanket for another snooze! He was so smiley too, we would love to know what he was dreaming about. ♥
This article is especially aimed at mums… Here at Amberlight, we don’t really shout about our family photography sessions much on our website, as it’s mostly all about newborns and babies. (And our newborn baby sessions always include family photos). But we do offer natural relaxed and fun filled family sessions, these are usually specifically requested by our clients, or booked directly from recommendations. We love these natural outdoor sessions because they are oh so important for including you in the photo!
We first ‘met’ this beautiful baby girl while she was still a ‘bump’ for her mum’s outdoor maternity photoshoot, so it was so lovely to finally meet her properly. She was the sweetest sleepiest baby during her newborn photo session at her home in Liverpool, sharing sleepy hugs with our little cuddly baby bunny and snuggling down on our beanbag for some dreamy photographs. We loved every precious cuddle we shared with beautiful Aoife! ♥
