As part of our newborn sessions we always encourage parents to have photographs taken with their baby. Time passes so quickly and before you know it your little one is on the move, walking and talking….and that time when you were a brand new family and they were so tiny and new is just a memory. Photographs with your newborn also give a clear perspective of just how little they are; just a couple of weeks later and they will no longer fit in Dad’s hands or will have grown too big to sleep flat out in mummy’s lap!
If you are thinking of professional newborn photography for the little bundle you are excitedly awaiting, then this blog post is written especially for you! There are many things to consider when you are looking for your newborn photographer, and these are the questions you should be researching or asking directly of your photographer before you even book, so you can be sure you choose the right photographer for you and your new baby…
Oh this little man was so teeny tiny, and still so curled up and scrumptious for his newborn session! He was so calm and relaxed at his home, and we had plenty of time for lovely chats with Mum and Dad while we settled Harry and soothed him to sleep for his dreamy shots. He pulled the most beautiful expressions while he was sleeping, we were lucky enough to catch one of his wonderful smiles, and loved capturing those macro shots of tiny baby fingers and toes! xx
Gorgeous little Sophie was such a sweetheart! We loved all the cuddles we shared with her during her newborn session. She was relaxed and comfortable in her cosy Wirral home on a raw winter’s day, and we took our time taking beautiful baby photos for her stunning newborn gallery. Just look at her little rosebud lips, we especially loved capturing all the tiny details and cute expressions for her family to treasure and remember these fleeting newborn days!
In those first few days at home with your brand new baby, everything changes and revolves around this new little life. When they go down for a nap, it is easy to feel like you need to turn off the TV and tiptoe round, talking in hushed voices for fear of waking them. In fact, the opposite is true – background noise helps them to sleep!
…But before we raise our glass to the brand new year, we just wanted to pause… just for a moment and reflect… and say a heartfelt ‘THANK YOU’ to our wonderful clients. Your support over the last year has been amazing, and we wanted to thank each and every one of you for trusting us with your precious little ones, for welcoming us into your homes and allowing us the privilege of capturing memories of your newborn baby during their first few days as brand new little people! It really does mean the world to us.
We had such a lovely time doing Christmas mini sessions recently. They certainly got us into the festive spirit early as we were out and about searching for the perfect accessories for this year’s rustic theme back in October! Collecting pine cones with our own little ones and decorating them to resemble snow ready for the shoot was also great fun. We met some lovely babies over two full days of mini sessions, and were so pleased to welcome back some of our tiny newborn clients, growing up fast, and looking forward to their first Christmas!
Gorgeous newborn baby Samuel’s big brother Joseph was so excited for this photoshoot! Four year old Joseph drew us a beautiful picture of his family while we were setting up for the photoshoot in his home on The Wirral. And little Samuel was such a happy and relaxed baby boy, he loved being wrapped and swaddled, and drifted off into a sweet sleep for much of his session. Joseph couldn’t wait to join in having his photo taken with his new baby brother and was an absolute star! He very carefully and safely cuddled Samuel for their sibling pictures and…
‘This little man has been here before’ stated Archie’s grandmother when we were introduced to her first grandchild. ‘He has such a knowing look in his eyes’ And she was right, this tiny adorable baby has the wisest look in his eyes! Archie’s newborn photography session at his home on The Wirral was short and sweet; He was oh so sleepy and chilled, that we were able to photograph his whole gallery without stopping for a feed!
Oh my, she’s so beautiful! Tiny Emily was just a fraction over 7lbs when she was born, and bang on her due date – which really doesn’t happen that often! Sleepy and snuggly in some natural poses for her newborn photoshoot, she was relaxed and comfortable at her home on The Wirral. We enjoyed some lovely cuddles during her session, and her gallery is simply stunning. She was a natural little model and rocked her session in style. ♥
Gorgeous baby boy Nikhil surprised his Mum and Dad by making an early arrival into the world… So early in fact, that we were taking his newborn photographs a week before his due date! Tiny and sleepy for much of his session at his home on The Wirral, he just loved curling his little fingers around ours and would hold on so tightly while we were posing him for his photographs. Such a little dink, he was simply adorable, and we loved every single minute we spent with him. ♥
As Beautiful Scarlett snuggled down into some natural newborn poses for her shoot, she was very clear about which pose she found the most comfortable! She settled oh so easily on her tummy, but otherwise made us work hard to sooth her to achieve sleepy photographs. Her ‘big’ sister Summer who was only 14 months old, didn’t want to be left out of all the fun either! She loved our soft textured baby wraps, and couldn’t wait to join in with the photoshoot. These two beautiful little girls are going to have so much fun growing up together!
