Our newborn sessions can last for up to 4 hours- because we work at baby’s pace. If baby needs a feed or a cuddle, we stop for exactly that. Our tiny clients have timescale all of their own and we work around their needs. While babies are being fed and soothed we have lots of time to chat to parents about the wonderful and amazing experience that is having a new baby. Over time from listening to our new Mums, we’ve been able to pull together a ‘must have’ list of baby essentials for new parents. So (apart from the…

Today we have opened up our page to a guest blog, beautifully written by one of our lovely clients. Rachel is a brand new Mama to gorgeous little Callum. One of the most smiley of all the newborn babies we have had the pleasure to work with! Their story is unique and heartwarming, raw and emotional. Rachel has been sharing their story on her own ‘The Little Puffin’ blog to raise awareness of Callum’s condition and has kindly agreed to share her journey with us here…

Today, we are handing our blog over to Debbie from Misfit Mama’s… Hi there! And welcome to today’s blog post all about the “C” word… I personally avoided reading anything about Caesarean sections when pregnant with my first child 6 years ago, as I was convinced I would have a natural birth! (lucky for me that I did) but if I hadn’t, I’d have been clueless as to what was involved. (Perhaps that was my plan!) Importantly this information is really useful for your recovery, which is where I’m coming from here today…
We meet many new mums and mums-to-be during the course of our work, and we quite often have very similar conversations with our clients about what’s available in our local area for them and their new baby. Whether it’s questions about pregnancy fitness classes, where they can find someone who can teach them baby massage, or even simply a place they can go that is baby-friendly to just get out of the house for a short time and grab a coffee.
This article is especially aimed at mums… Here at Amberlight, we don’t really shout about our family photography sessions much on our website, as it’s mostly all about newborns and babies. (And our newborn baby sessions always include family photos). But we do offer natural relaxed and fun filled family sessions, these are usually specifically requested by our clients, or booked directly from recommendations. We love these natural outdoor sessions because they are oh so important for including you in the photo!
