Maternity memories
There are so many ways these days to celebrate and share the excitement of pregnancy, from the moment you find out, to announcing your news to your loved ones. From planning weekly or monthly ‘bump selfies’ to booking 3D & 4D scan photos for a gender reveal! And with birthing classes, pregnancy fitness, baby showers, bump casts and newborn photoshoots to plan, not to mention the regular dates to check-in with your midwife, your 9 months of pregnancy will pass quickly and before you know it, your little one will be here!
Guest Blog ~ All about C-Sections
Today, we are handing our blog over to Debbie from Misfit Mama’s… Hi there! And welcome to today’s blog post all about the “C” word… I personally avoided reading anything about Caesarean sections when pregnant with my first child 6 years ago, as I was convinced I would have a natural birth! (lucky for me that I did) but if I hadn’t, I’d have been clueless as to what was involved. (Perhaps that was my plan!) Maternity Photoshoot Competition
We are very excited to announce a brand new collaboration with our local One to One Midwives at their Pregnancy Advice Centre in Ellesmere Port. Very soon, you will be able to see our beautiful newborn artwork going up on the advice centre’s walls. To celebrate this partnership, One to One Midwives and Amberlight Images together, are also launching an exciting competition, to win a Maternity Memory Session, and a one of our signature Amberlight ‘Baby, I Love You’ frames!

Guest Blog ~ Daisy Foundation Wirral
Here’s a question for you: think back to the most recent representations you have seen on TV of childbirth. Were they positive, empowering experiences for the women involved? I’m guessing that’s probably a resounding no!! I can think of a few I’ve seen lately – both fictional dramas and documentaries – and the universal image seems to be a screaming woman laid on her back in a bed. So that’s how you give birth….right? Erm…..no not really.
Springtime Woodland Maternity Session
With so many lovely little newborn babies to photograph, it’s less often that we have the opportunity to get out with our cameras, so with the recent sunshine coaxing us outside, we arranged to meet up with beautiful Luisa at a local Wirral woodland for a maternity photoshoot. Typically, the day we had chosen for the shoot was a wet and miserable morning with no hint of the recent sunshine that had inspired the shoot. But Luisa was happy to brave the British elements, and the stunning ancient woodland provided a natural shelter filtering the worst of the raindrops away.…
